Linking roles to report groups - Reporting services integration

Menu path

Modules ? System ? Reporting services integration ? Management

Introduction

On the Reporting services integration: Report group page, you can link roles to report groups or modify existing ones. This way, you can set the default security for reports in the report group. If no roles have been linked to a report group, by default, all reports in the report group will be visible and available to every user. If a report group has a role linked to it, for example, the role HR on level Division, then every user with the role HR on a division level and higher will by default, be able to see and access the reports in the report group. The default security of a specific report can still be changed. For more information, see Creating and modifying reports - Reporting Services Integration.

Roles and rights

By default, users with the Administrator or Report manager role can link roles to reports.

Note:

  • For more details on function rights, go to Modules ? System ? Setup ? Security ? Function rights.
  • For more details on roles, go to Modules ? System ? Setup ? Security ? Roles.
